By default, user profiles are publicly visible and may be indexed by search engines.

|First Name and Last Name||Your First Name and Last Name are displayed publicly.|
|Optional Profile Fields||Optional profile fields are displayed publicly. These include profile background and avatar images, additional information fields, and social media links.|
|Comments||Comments made in the Facebook comments box are displayed publicly and linked to your Facebook Profile and Account.|

By default, user profiles are publicly visible and may be indexed by search engines. However, you can restrict the visibility of your profile by doing the following:
- Make sure you are logged in.
- Go to the profile privacy tab in your account.
- Change the settings as shown here.
- Click the Update Privacy button to save your changes.
Important: Even if you restrict the visibility of your profile, your First Name and Last Name, as well as your profile avatar, will still be publicly visible on any reviews you submit. Any comments you make in the Facebook comments box on posts and pages are also displayed publicly and linked to your Facebook Profile and Account.
If you wish to register using a pseudonym (i.e., not your real name) instead, see this FAQ.
If you wish to hide your real identity on your public profile, you can register using a “creative” First Name and Last Name. E.g., you could register as First Name “Green” and Last Name “Frog”.
You could then either leave your profile blank, or add images and text which do not reveal your identity. It is your responsibility solely for managing your profile — please see our Site Terms for more information.
Please also note that the impersonation of real people and organizations is strictly disallowed.
